Found this card I had made a while ago and hadn't posted yet. It was to celebrate a friend's engagement and the happiness she had found. The card feels simple to me, but with an understated elegance.
The card came together rather quickly. To create a similiar version,
- Cut a solid piece of card stock to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2". Score the longest side at 4 1/4". This makes a standard A2 size card (card front is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
- Cut pattern paper to 4" x 5 1/4". Distress and ink edges. This is Piece A.
- Fussy cut floral piece from pattern paper. Ink edges.
- Adhere to upper right corner of Piece A.
- Adhere mat to card front.
- Cut strip to fit across card front. Adhere near bottom of card.
- Ink die cut piece with sentiment. In this case, {Happiness}. Adhere on top of strip.
- Fussy cut butterfly from pattern paper. Cover with stickles. Once dry, roll wing edges up. Adhere only center of butterfly to card with foam tape.
Supplies: Card stock (Bazzill Basics), Pattern papers, die cut (MME), distressor (CM), Walnut Stain distress ink, Rock Candy stickles (Tim Holtz/Ranger), foam tape
TFL and keep creating!
