I am a daughter of Christ, a daughter, a sister, a wife, a boy mom of 3, a rocket scientist, a sports fan, a reader, and a crafter. It's a little crazy, a little chaotic, a lot busy, but oh man, am I loved and blessed!

I love to create and get crafty! Paper crafting is where my heart lies, but I also dabble in shirts (vinyl and sublimation), mixed media, and sewing. Scrapbooking our family adventures and the people I love is so important to me. When I don't have time to sit and focus on long projects, card making suffices just fine! I managed to drag my mom and aunts into this hobby. So as an added bonus, I get to spend time with them on our crafty days. Nothing like being with family while documenting our family!

But, why Junk Masterpieces? A long time ago, my then boyfriend (now husband) came home during a crafting day with my mom and aunts. He looked around the mess (you know what I'm talking about) and said something along the lines of not knowing how we used all "this junk" to make beautiful things. A year or so later, I attended Heidi Swapp's Creative Escape. They were selling a button that said "With the right amount of junk, she could create a masterpiece." I loved that saying and it reminded of what  my husband said. When I finally decided to give the handmade business a go, it was easy to come up with a name..."Junk Masterpieces" because I know with the right amount of junk, I can create a masterpiece.
