A Better View

Here is a a better image of the our 2011 Christmas card.  The idea for the photo came from Pinterest.  I had my parents take the photo which is how we told them our happy news.  Most of our friends and family also found out when they received our card in the mail.

Christmas Card 2011

These last few months have been a whirlwind.  I can't believe Christmas is just around the corner!!  I was finally able to create our Christmas card last night using the Winter Wonderland collection from Heidi Swapp and Jessica Sprague.  Loving the turquoise, gray, and reds!  I had a horrible time last night trying to find a website that would print the card, but allow for in-store pickup - otherwise I had no chance of getting these out before Christmas!

In case any of you have had this struggle, here's the trick (and a future reminder to myself): Use http://targetphoto.shutterfly.com/.  If you log into the Shutterfly site directly, in-store pickup is available on 4x6 photo prints only.  By going thru Target to Shutterfly, Target in-store pickup is an available option.

As an added bonus right now, once you place your order, Shutterfly can automatically embed you project or photo into your blog.  For allowing Shutterfly to place their widget on your blog, you get a $10 off coupon.  Score!  I will definitely need it to print our holiday pictures!

Playing Catch Up

To say it's been a while is an understatement!  Life has been so busy, but I've been creating too.  Instead of one long post, I'll try to do several short posts to show some of my handiwork.

On this post I want to focus on a 2-page layout I did for my son's first birthday.  We did a first year photo shoot and I wanted to capture those fun pictures. Inspiration for my layout came from two different sketches.  One sketch I used on the left page and a different sketch on the right.  By using using coordinating papers and drawing from the rows of paper, these two sketches came together naturally.

The sketch for the left page is Creative Scrappers Sketch #156.

Here's my take of the sketch:
I left the journaling on the right, but moved everything else to the left.  This allows the journaling to flow across both pages.  The splattered paint may not be obvious in this picture, but I sprayed Perfect Pearls Forever Red on the background.

For the right side, I used the Sketch #8 (May Sketch Challenge) from Get Picky.

Here's my take of the sketch:
For this sketch I switched the flowers to stars and added some journaling strips in the bottom left.  I also removed the title since I put that on the left page.

A few more pictures showing details of the pages:

Sneak Peeks

The Craft and Hobby Association (CHA) Show started today!  I so wish I was in Chicago right now!!  Since not everyone can attend, many craft companies are super sweet - or mean (depends on your view) - and offer sneak peeks of their latest offerings. Some of my favs:
  • Bella Blvd - Too Cute to Spook and Making the Team in particular!
  • All things Tim Holtz - when does he not have anything drool worthy?
  • Pink Paislee - Very excited by Mistabilities and Phantom (already had the digital pieces from House of 3 - can't wait for an expanded paper line!)
  • Hero Arts - loving their collaborations with Studio Calico and Sizzix
  • Glitz Design - I want my guest bedroom designed like Vintage Blue
  • My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found 2 and Lost & Found: Christmas no need to say more!
What are your favorites?  Have you started saving your money yet?

Keep creating!

Lawnscaping Challenge #12

I have recently discovered Lawn Fawn stamps and have fallen in love! I love the simple, clean designs and can't wait to add more to my collection.  Besides creating fantastic stamps, Lawn Fawn also hosts a challenge blog - {Lawn}scaping Challenge.

Each month they post 2 challenges and encourage the use of Lawn Fawn products. The second challenge in June was a sketch challenge.  You can read details about the current challenge here.  Below is the sketch:

So many ideas flew thru my head when I saw the sketch.  Since my aunt just brought a new home, I decided to make a house warming card.  Her favorite color is purple so that made the card even easier.  Here is my take on the sketch...

Supplies: Kraft cardstock (Recollections), purple and white cardstock (craft supply),
How Delightful stamp set (Lawn Fawn), frame sticker (Glitz), Seam Binding ribbon (SU),
Black ink (Staz-On), Milled Lavendar distress ink (Tim Holtz/Ranger), purple rhinestones (Recollections), Scallop border punch (SU)

A couple of notes on the card....

First, the ribbon started off as Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon from Stampin' Up.  I simply dyed it to match my card (it has a brown undertone in the picture, but in real life is a pale purple/lavendar).  I rubbed some Milled Lavendar distress ink directly onto my craft mat.  Then using a mini-mister filled with water, I wetted my ribbon.  I wiped up the distress ink with my dampened ribbon.  The ribbon will soak up all the color.  You can either let the ribbon dry naturally or heat set.  Such an easy way to have perfectly matching ribbon!

Second, the sticker frame is actually "waste".  It is spacer material between two other stickers.  It was also the perfect size for my card.  Just a reminder to look past the obvious - even the supposed waste can be useful!

Too bad, blogger went down last night and I didn't get to enter my card!  I still got a card finished though.  Can't wait to get some crafting down on this extended weekend!

As always, TFL and keep creating!

MME Card Challenge #24

Time for another My Mind's Eye Challenge!  The theme is Song Lyrics and here's the sketch:
The sketch immediately spoke to me and I knew what I wanted to do.  The hard part was fitting my idea into a song.

Supplies:  Card, Pattern paper (MME - Fine and Dandy and Lush), Letter stamps (Martha Stewart), light brown cardstock, linen thread

My song inspiration - 99 Red Balloons of course!!  "Floating in the summer sky" is from the song.  The inside reads "99 Red Balloons for your special day!"  The circles and dots on the horizontal strips symbolize the 99 red balloons as well as my hot air balloons (which are all the rage right now!)  Hope you like!

To Do List 5/27/11

  • Catch up on my She Art class. I gave in...I got the extension.  Hoping this Memorial weekend will give me some time to catch up.
  • Sew a lot of crayon rolls. Still only 9 of 35 done. Feeling the urge to sew too - need to get some done to populate my Etsy store.

  • Make the Amy Butler Frenchy Bag purse.
  • Sew my dining room curtains.  Washed and ironed my fabric panels.
  • Sew my living room curtains.

  • CAS-ual Fridays Graduation challenge
  • Get Picky May Sketch Challenge #8 Love this sketch! Already picked out my pictures, papers and embellishments - ready to tape!

Nothing fully completed, but I did get one challenge entry done.  Lots of things started too.  Feeling positive!

Mood Goggles and Lily Pads Inspiration Challenge #2

Mood goggles?  You are probably wondering what I'm talking about.  Mood goggles are the "glasses" that shroud your vision based on your mood.  Kinda like rose-colored glasses, but not just the happy, good things.   Like when you are feeling lonely and all you see are couples or families - you are seeing the world through mood goggles.

Right now, I think I have my mood goggles on.  You see, yesterday I received some sad news as my great-aunt had passed away.  I had just taken my son to visit her only a few hours before when my mom called.  Although we knew it was coming, I still wasn't prepared.  Who ever is?

I spent the rest of the evening quietly playing with my son and hugging him alot.  I'm glad he's only 17 months and doesn't mind.  After putting him down for the night, I decided to make a card.  Initially it was going to be a sympathy card, but I couldn't.  How could I offer sympathy to my aunt, who is also my Godmother, and my cousins, when I needed some sympathy too?  I can only imagine the pain they are going through, but it doesn't make my pain any less real.  In a few days, I will try again.

I decided to try to cheer myself up.  I remembered there was an Embossing Challenge on Lily Pad Cards, but I only had an hour to make the card, take pics, make a blog post, and submit my link.  Honestly, I knew I didn't have a shot, but I went for it anyway.

I wanted a happy card, so I gravitated toward yellow and pink and flowers.  I also decided to make it a birthday card.  It took me forever though.  Nothing looked or felt right.  I am wondering if it is my mood though?  I am seeing my card as I normally would or do I have mood goggles on?  Is my vision tainted with sadness right now?  I don't know.  The few people I have shared the card with like it.  I'm the only one who seems frustrated with it.

I finally reached a point when I said I was done.  After taking pics and downloading them to the computer, I realized I was 10 min late already - no embossing challenge for me.  Luckily, today's Lily Pad Challenge is their monthly Inspiration Challenge.  For this challenge, you can create any card as long as it was inspired by something seen on Lily Pad during that month.  So here is my entry, inspired by all the lovely embossing done this month....

Supplies: White cardstock (Recollections), Yellow cardstock (Bazzill), Manhattan Flower embossing folder (SU - Sizzix), Pink Piourette and So Saffron ink pads (SU), Sincere Salutations stamp set (SU), Versamark ink pad, white embossing powder (Ranger), white pearls (Recollections), brayer

There you have it.  What do you think?  Do I have mood goggles on?

To Do List 5/19/11

I've been so busy lately, busier than normal (which is usually pretty frantic anyway). I haven't had much of a creative life, but found some time this week to get things done.
  • Catch up on my She Art class. Yikes! Only 2.5 weeks left!  Looks like I'm paying extra to extend my class access. Maybe not though, I was think of watching all the videos and taking really good notes as I go.  We'll see how it goes.  Still, though as I'm going shopping or going thru my supplies, I think about this would be great for a canvas.  Or a saying or design pops into my head and I think it would be a great gift.  Plenty of enthusiam just not enough time!
  • Sew a lot of crayon rolls. Still only 9 of 35 done. Feeling the urge to sew too - need to get some done to populate my Etsy store.
  • Make my June wedding dress.  Wait, now that I'm reading this it sounds weird.  Like I need to make a dress for MY June wedding.  I need to make my dress for a June wedding we are attending (in Colorado - yeah!).
  • Make the Amy Butler Frenchy Bag purse.
  • Sew my dining room curtains.
  • Sew my living room curtains.
  • Download latest pics from camera Almost done - downloaded all family photos last night. Craft photos are left.
  • Houston rodeo layout
  • April May Sketch and Scraps online class.
  • Blog post on Cricut class
  • Blog post on layout for MME Challenge 21
  • Finish settup up the Etsy Store. Almost done - gotta finish my policies and start putting in some product!
  • Lily Pad "Beautiful" inspiration card
  • YUDU experiment for bowling team shirts This gets scratched by default.  I went to get all the supplies, but none of my local stores carried what I needed.  I don't understand how a store can sell a YUDU, but not carry basic ink colors - like red or green.  Seriously, am I asking for too much??
  • Make graduation announcements for my brother's lovely girlfriend, Sara  Post coming soon with the announcements and frames I made for her.
  • Make a CD of the senior pics - taken by moi! - of the lovely Sara
  • May Hero Arts challenge
  • May Glitz Design challenge using the clustering technique
  • May Scarlet Lime challenge - Mother or Grandmother tribute
  • Lily Pad Card challenges - too many to list!
Three things crossed off the list again including an associated blog posts that wasn't listed.  Forward motion - its a good thing!  Plus it wasn't on the list, but made some cute graduation frames.

Lots of challenges on the list.  Even if I don't make the deadlines, I still like to do them.  The challenges provide a starting point and I usualy get some idea in my head.  Just need to find time to execute.  And if it happens to be outside some deadline where I can't win a prize...so be it.  I got it done anyway!

I have take away my bonus from last time - the graduation projects and the MME card challenge caused me to add to the mess that is my scrapbook room.  Booo....

Hope you are gettin' crafty with it!  (Will Smith is in my head right now..please get him out!)

My Mind's Eye Challenge 23 Card

Time for another My Mind's Eye Challenge. This month's theme was Free-style - meaning anything goes!! This makes my life so much easier! Here is the sketch:

My take on the sketch

Supplies: Kraft paper, pattern paper (all various MME lines), Branch Tree Die (Tim Holtz Alterations/Sizzix), Scallop and Owl punches (SU), Circle punch and black pen (CM)

Since I've also been doing some graduation projects (post coming soon!), I decided to make a graduation/celebration card.  Plus this was a great way to use up my scraps!

TFL and hope your getting crafty!

Three things crossed off the list including associated blog posts that weren't listed - yea me!  It helps that most of the challenges are using inlinkz for entry submittal.  Instead of emailing entries, you simply link to the specific blog post about your entry.  So you will definitely see more creative blog posts from me as I continue to enter these great challenges!

Bonus - even more cleaning done in my office/scrapbook room. You can actually see progress this time!

In other crafting news, I am sad about this right now... the closing of House of 3.  I will definitely miss the wonderful work produced by Rhonna, Heidi, and Janet.  Silver lining - everything at House of 3 is 50% now thru May 8th (use code FIFTYOFF).

More inspiration or is it motivation?

First I hope everyone had a happy Easter! We were busy on Good Friday and Saturday and rested on Easter Sunday. It was a great day to recoupe from the festivities, enjoy being outdoors, taking naps, and generally soaking in all that the Lord provides!

Second, now that Easter has passed that means I get to go shopping again, which of course, I have. BUT, I don't want to start collecting supplies again. I want to continue using them. I've been building up my card stash and getting layouts completed! I like this crafty person who gets things crossed off the project list. MME's monthly card and layout challenges as well as Lily Pads Cards have helped me to get scrapping. I want to keep going, especially with my scrapbook pages. I recently discovered this scrapbooking sketch site - Pencil Lines.

At Pencil Lines, a new sketch is provided every Sunday. You can submit a layout for each sketch and all entries are due by the end of the calender month that the sketch was posted - except the last sketch of the month. Submittals for the last sketch of the month are due by the following Sunday. From all the submissions one winner is selected each month.

How's that for you? Inspiration from each of the weekly sketches and motivation to enter the contest/win the prize! Need some more reasons to check out Pencil Lines - these sketches can easily be used for cards. So excited!! I'm thinking I'll start next month, which is Sunday!

(Not sure why these challenge blogs have juiced up my creativity, but I'm lovin' it. My husband will tell you its because I'm SOO competitive. I say I work better with a deadline! wink, wink)

Froggin' Fantastic Four!

I have been so busy at work and home this week. I haven't had a chance to share my exciting news! I was one of the Froggin' Fantastic Four at Lily Pad Cards! The proof is in the exclusive new blinkie in my side bar. See and read about the challenge here.

I was over the top estatic to have been selected. Just more motivation to keep creating. I hope you are creating too and don't be afraid to enter challenges. Even if you don't win the prize, you are being creative and getting projects done. That's a win in itself!

Hope you have a blessed and happy Easter!

MME Challenge 22 - Card

OMG!  Two posts in one day!  Can you believe it?  This month I actually got both the My Mind's Eye Card and Layout Challenge done.  Yipee!

Here is the card sketch:
Again, the theme was "April Showers".  For a card, this was easy - a baby shower card!

Supplies:  Lost and Found paper (MME), an MME pattern paper stack, white pearls (Recollections), Laundry Line chipboard pieces (MME), Music tissue tape (Tim Holtz), Decorative Label punch (SU), Inside and Out -Baby (Papertrey Ink), Close to Cocoa stamp pad (SU), Brackets die (Sizzix Alterations)

There you have it!  The hubby said he doesn't get a baby shower feel from it.  I figure it will be pretty clear attached to baby gift or at the baby shower!  Thanks for looking!

My Mind's Eye Challenge 22 - Layout

Time for the monthly MME layout challenge.  I actually finished this layout on Monday!!  Woohoo!  Here is the sketch:

The theme was "April Showers."  I'll admit this stumped me for a bit.  I was searching thru my photos and found these of my son taking a bath.  My stepdad used to sing "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" when he would give my youngest brother a bath.  I always remember that when I'm giving my son a bath and I end up singing it to him.  Raindrops and showers go together so finally, inspiration for the theme.
Supplies:  Good Day Sunshine and Penny Lane papers (MME), Cloud Rubons (Studio Calico), Bird Punch (SU), Apron Strings border punch (Fiskars), Ashlyn's Alphabets cartridge (Cricut), Glossy Accents, Baja Breeze marker (SU)

Two interesting things to note, you might notice the bird punch in the Supplies list but no bird on the layout.  I used the wing piece as my rain drops.  The next is to give my page a "wet" feel to it, I spread Glossy Accents over my rain drops and my title.  TFL!

By the way, I am loving this right now...  Something Splendid.  Be sure to check it out!  I already know what classes I'm signing up for after Easter!

I know its hard - believe me I know - but I hope you are finding time to let your inner artist play!

Is it me or is Lent dragging by?

18 more days until Easter and I am seriously counting down the days.  This Lenten season has really been a struggle for me.  Usually by now, I'm over it - whatever I gave up is gone and I'm not missing it.  I've realized how my life and my soul is better for it.  This year I gave up two things for Lent - biting my nails and buying crafting goodies.  I never realized how often I stop at the scrapbook store or a fabric store until now.  It is always in my mind that I can't go to the store.  So, I'm trying to keep busy, but I don't know if it is helping or hurting.  I'm coming home and really trying to tackle all the projects I have in the works and I'm making progress.  This is good, but at the same time, it makes me think "This would be better if I had {something I would need to buy}."  Or "OMG!  This is so easy and I love it - I need to make another using {something else I don't have}."  Killing me!!!  It doesn't help that all the new products lines started popping up in stores the first week of Lent.

And as I sit here typing this, I am starting to feel a little ashamed.  I mean, I can't get over not going to a store to spend money on things I don't need for a short period of time?  What is my problem?  Jesus Christ gave up His life for me without complaint.  What on earth do I have to complain about??   No, seriously, what do I have to complain about?  Nothing.  I have been incredibly blessed in my life and continue to blessed everyday.  The Lord is teaching me a lesson here, I just need to open my heart to receive it.  Hopefully, once I do, Lent will go a little faster ; )

  • Blog post on Cricut class
  • Update MME Challenge 21 layout.  This is what happens when I wait till the last minute to finish.  I like the layout, but I want to add more.  It is hanging in my son's room and every time I pass it, I see how to make it better - more polished.  I can't let it go, so it will be coming down and "finished."
  • Blog post on layout for MME Challenge 21
  • Finish settup up the Etsy Store.  Big announcement when it is up.  Busily getting it situated and prepping product for it.
Nothing completely done, but some baby steps taken.  Staying motivated though, and of course, have more ideas in the head to do.  I want to keep this list manageable though, so before I add too many more I want to get these done.

An Improvement..

Take a look at the much improved MME Blog Challenge 20 layout.
Supplies: Only added supply is Baker's twine and more Lost & Found paper (both MME)

The white space was too large and too blah for me - it needed something.  So first I made the banner using circles and baker's twine...still missing something.  I played around with title diecuts and other words, but nothing looked "right".  Then one of rejected photos for the layout fell onto page...perfect!  This is what I was missing - a larger photo showing the relationship between father and son.  What makes the photo is more special?  It was taken when our son turned 9 months old on his dad's birthday.  Could it fit in with the page theme any better???

To Do Lists...

I am a list person.  I love making lists and crossing things off them - proving that I've done something and bought something.  Sometimes it is the only way I keep my sanity and prevents me from feeling like I'm drowning.  Maybe I didn't do as much as I wanted, but I did do something.  I have the never-ending house/family to do list, mainly related to cleaning.  The main thing on there right now is to straighten the house up enough to cash in our housekeeping Groupon.  5 hours of maid service for the entire house!! Woo hoo!  (Does anybody else do that - clean up before the maid/cleaning service comes over??)

Here's my crafting to do list:
  • Catch up on my She Art class.
  • Finish last month's My Mind's Eye challenge layout.  I don't like the original finished product and am almost done updating it.
  • Complete this month's My Mind's Eye Card and Layout Challenge.
  • Sew a lot of crayon rolls.
  • Make various cards to sell at the 1st Annual JSC Flea Market and Crawfish Boil.  (This is also where all the crayon rolls come in.)
  • Make my Easter dress
  • Make the Amy Butler Birdie Sling purse.
  • Make the Amy Butler Frenchy Bag purse.
  • Sew my dining room curtains.
  • Sew my living room curtains.
There's a lot more to add on, but for now, I'll just start with these.  So to keep me honest and motivated, once a week I'll come back and update my progress.  Hopefully things will start getting crossed off and new items showing up.

Crayon Roll

Yesterday, I had a crafting day at my house.  Most of the attendees scrapbooked, but I decided to sew.(Even though I really need to finish the two paper craft projects I have in progress!)  I made a crayon roll with this cute robot material and coordinating stripe fabric.  It holds 16 crayons.  I'm working on how to close it.  I thought I would deviate from the instructions I found and use ribbon to tie it close.  Didn't work out so well.  I am going to make another soon with a different closure method.  Then I'll post the instructions I used with my experience mixed in.  Here are some pics of the first attempt....

My Mind's Eye Blog Challenge 20

On the first Monday of each month, My Mind's Eye has two blog challenges.  They provide two sketches - one for a card, one for a layout.  I wanted to participate last month and had card created in my head.  Unfortunately, when it came time to actually make it, Timothy was getting a new tooth and had a restless night.  That's what I get for procrastinating!!

So did I learn my lesson this month? Sorta?!?! lol...

Again, had a great layout in my head, but with Valentine's and getting laryngitis, I had only a few hours left to get my page done.  I managed to get it done last night.  Although I like the page, there are things I would have done differently and I may still add to the page.  It was late, I was tired, and the overnight diaper only lasted 3 hrs.  So I quickly wrapped up the page, emailed my pics, and went to change my son. Here's what I submitted.  Once the blog challenge album is set up on the My Mind's Eye site I will add a link.

ETA:  Here is the link to the MME Blog Challenge 20 gallery. Here is a link to winners (not me, I told you it wasn't quite finished!  Next month I'm not waiting till the last minute!!)

Supplies: Lost and Found papers, die cuts, stickers (My Mind's Eye), Tiny Type Alpha (Cosmo Cricket), Vintage Type Cardstock Stickers (Glitz)

Lucky Me!

Why am I so lucky?  Because this is what I get to come home to...

What a cutie!  He got the playhouse as a birthday present and he kinda played in it.  A couple of weeks ago, some family visited and the kids LOVED playing in the house.  Now, my lil monster is all about his house.  In this photo, his Nana (my mom) is in there with him.  A few days ago though, I was coming in from work.  He was playing in house and heard the door unlock.  I open the door and he did just like the picture - stuck his out he back window and had the biggest smile.  Who dares say I am not lucky??

Breathing ice...

In case you haven't heard, I'm training for my first half-marathon this year.  I am not a runner, but I wanted to do something different.  Besides it is a stepping stone to doing a marathon, which I plan to do next year.  I'm not really sure when it happened, but a marathon ended up on my bucket list.  I am determined to cross it off.

In the meantime, I have to get thru this half-marathon first.  I figured training in the summer in Houston was a bad idea, so I picked a race in March.  What better time to train than in the fall/winter?  Except, it gets dark early and once I get home from work I only have about 3 hrs with my son before he's in bed for the night.  So I usually end up loading him in the stroller or wagon and we walk. Well, I walk and he sits back, snacking and drinking and saying "that." I may not run as much as I would like, but I still get to say I did a half-marathon.

What does this have to do with breathing ice?  My training so far has usually been done in about 70 deg weather, maybe in the 60s every now and then.  Yesterday, I went for a run at 5 pm and it was 34 deg! I made it around my block and my chest was on fire.  It was like breathing ice.  You know when you eat ice cream or a popsicle too fast and your chest starts to burn.  That's what it felt like.  I can't decide what is better - breathing ice or water (which is what running in August feels like with the humidity).  What do you think??

She Art Workshop

I am so excited to have signed up for this workshop.  It is an online mixed media art class.  You can read more about it here.  It is taught by Christy Tomlinson, the owner of Scarlet Lime.  I am a member of the Scarlet Lime Kit Club, which means every month I get a box filled with yummy scrapbooking goodies delivered to my front door.  This class will help to see beyond the scrapbooking aspect of my kit and dive into the world of mixed media art.  I've created canvases before, but always with the scrapbooking spin.  There is always at least one photo to be included.  Now I will learn how to create my own images to add another level to my artistic talents (if you want to call them that!).  Again so excited!!!

Fresh Starts

2011 is about 19 days old and I've already been on vacation and visited another country!!  Whoop! Good start to the year.  Although I was slightly disappointed to not get a Canadian stamp in my passport.  Apparently you need a passport to go to Canada, but they don't mark that you actually went in.  Go figure!

While on vacation I purged all work budget items from my brain and really thought about what I want this year.  I thought about the second blog I wanted to make that focused on my family, all the projects in my mind, classes I want to take, where I want to go with Junk Masterpieces, being a better mother and wife, re-prioritizing our life, and getting it together (whatever that means!).  Fortunately my husband is on board and has really being stepping up around the house.  Our resolution to get organized as a family is off and running.

When I started this blog, I struggled with keeping my family life separate from my creative life.  Then I would look at my blog and it felt so impersonal - not what I wanted at all.  I kept telling my husband I would create a second blog just about our family, but I had a hard enough time updating one blog.  I can't imagine adding another to my load.  That's when it hit me - Junk Masterpieces isn't just about the things I make, it is also my life.  My greatest masterpiece will be the life that I live and the legacy I leave behind.  I have all this "junk" in my life - work, bowling, being a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, a niece, scrapbooking, reading, exercising, etc., etc - which all combine to form the masterpiece that is my life.  My artistic adventures are only a small piece of the puzzle.  From here on out, I want the show you the whole picture- not just a small piece.

So what does that mean?  Mainly that there will be more family stories and photos.  The lessons I have learned as I navigate thru motherhood.  I have lots of fun ideas to implement on the blog - monthly features, giveaways, etc.  All things to be rolled out soon.  Be on the lookout!

Here's to 2011!
